Does anyone like to read book series? I certainly do. One of my favorite things it to find a series with a number of books and start at the beginning. I found a new one ladies and gentlemen! It's not new so to speak, just new to me. Author Kate Wilhelm is a new discover of mine (about a year ago). Ever since I have been obsessed with her character Barbara Holloway. Not only is she a strong female figure, but little by little we are let in to see her weaknesses. I've recently started (and nearly finished) book 9 in the series and Barbara has changed so much over the course of the books thus far. She's come to realizations about her life and relationships, and buries herself in her work to stop from dealing with them when it all gets too much. Oh yes, she is an attorney in the state of Oregon. Wilhelm writes these so well! The trials are always interesting, and my favorite parts are when Barbara's father is involved. I am now finding myself saying "Christ on a mountain" which is a coined phrase by Frank Holloway.
